Om Nom!

Well, once again I have caught something from my little monsters which caused me to spend 2 days at home nursing my illness. I’m on the mend but, YECHT, 3 times this year I’ve been sick. Me no like.

I wanted to share with you a couple of goodies that have been around this week. First up, my sister asked if I could make her a Thank You Card for her dance instructor, which, of course, I obliged. She requested a red card, as their dance had a Spanishy theme. Here is what I came up with. I popped up the greeting with foam dimensionals, added grommets where I threaded the ribbon and even tried a different inking technique using 2 different colours. Using my ink pens, I swiped the yellow colour first, then dabbed the orangey colour over top, sporadically. I really dig it!

Next up I wanted to share a little om nom that BF and I stumbled upon over the weekend. We went to the local Farmer’s Market to check out the local yummies, sampling delicious cheese, sauces, dips, breads, pies, and on and on. The last thing we saw were the most adorable French Macaron cookies by Kawaii Eats, a local cookie company. We sampled a few of the delicious cookies and then made our purchase. 1 macaron each. Can you guess which one I picked?

Their names are Pandaron and Salutations Feline. SO cute! And SOOOOO delicious! Macarons are so yummy, delicate and flavourful. If you have never checked out a farmer’s market, I highly suggest you do, you meet some great people and try some delicious local food.

Come back tomorrow for my FO Friday, XO!

  1. Love the card! I’m in awe of anyone who can do crafty things other than knitting, lol. I’m definitely a one-trick-craft-pony 🙂
