My FO this week is exactly the same as a few weeks ago.
I decided to use up the green and white cotton from the last potholder, but I switched it up a little bit. I really like the bright green and the hint of white! The pattern once again is the Scalloped Potholder from Priscilla Hewitt. What do you think?
I also have an almost FO to share as well. March’s square swap theme is “You Country”. I got the
itch to crochet the other day and decided to whip up a Diagonal Box Stitch Square. One of my favourites. I will probably add a Maple Leaf on top to cap off the ‘Canadiana’ 🙂
So there is my FOF for the week, check out the others here, XO.
Hey! Did you enjoy me goodies yesterday? I sure did!
Today I want to show you my finished potholder I sent off to Tracey in Virginia. You saw it at 50% finished, but here it is in all its glory!
Ta-dah! It turned out so well! The pattern is Scalloped Potholder from Priscilla Hewitt. I used a G hook, and Peaches’N’Cream white and green cotton. I really wanted to try a different cotton from Bernat Handicrafter, so when I was down in Washington a few weeks ago I made sure we went to Joanns so I could get some. I really like it! The pattern is dead simple, you make 2 scalloped parts, tie the middles together and then single crochet around the edge. On the Rav pattern page there are others in a multitude of colour combos, but I love the simple but crispness of the white and green. I am happy to report that my swapner really likes it! Yays!
So that’s my FO Friday for this week, check out the other wowzers here, XO.
Hey all, I’m sure you’re coming down from your V-day love (and chocolate) high. Thanks for dropping by!
I thought I would share some of the goodies I have received the last few weeks, from a few different people.
First up is my December square. The theme was toys, isn’t it cute? I love the bouncy ball! This square actually didn’t travel very far to reach me, it was mailed from Surrey, BC. Thanks Beth!
Next up are my January Squares. The theme was “Good morning, good night”. Remember earlier I sent the turquoise square with the stars on it? In return, I received some breakfast related squares from Helen in North Carolina. The all brown on is coffee, and the mixed browns is toast. I love them! Thanks Helen!
Lastly, I received my potholder from the C’Ville Kiss Potholder Swap. My swapner hailed from Virginia, and she sent me the most beautiful, monster potholder. It’s huge! It has the most wonderful texture and stunning border. I really love it! Thanks Tracey!
So those are my goodies. Hope you like them as much as I do! Stay tuned for a FOF tomorrow, XO!
It feels so great to have a project on my hook right now!
I signed up to participate in the KISS Potholder Swap on C’Ville. My swapner hails from PA, and I have found a cute little pattern for her potholder.
Last weekend I was down in Seattle and decided to stop in at Joanns and buy some Peaches and Cream Cotton. I am really happy with the result so far, even though I am only about 50% through. Hopefully I can finish it up soon and have another FO to share!
SO that’s my WIP for this week, check out the others here, XO.
